Mothers Day

Good Morning

Hope the Mothers of SA had a fantastic day yesterday and were spoilt rotten :0)

Well we had a fun filled weekend, The I Love Kensington Ass. launched their
Brand on Saterday, it was held at Ofners Coffee Shop (Corner Queens and Langerman Road)
in Kensington East, there was a live jazz band playing awesome music, and flowers/plants were planted on the patch of grass outside Ofners place, and lolly pops and business cards were handed out to the folk driving past. There was much happiness and laughter all round, people were digging and planting and were covered in mud, needless to say a lot of backs were stiff and hands were blistered during all of this funfair but the corner is going to look gorgeous once all the flowers start to bloom.

We even had a big red fire engine toot for us, it was fantastic, took me way back to my childhood when we use to get all excited seeing a big red fire truck..woooo weeee !!!

We met so many people and made new friends, I unfortunately was beaten down with a mother of all headaches and had to come home feeling very ill and sad :0(

NEXT: The Eternal Oak and the I Love Kensington girls are having our first Market on the 30th May at the Rhodes Park Community Centre in Kensington, this is for all Hand Made, Home Made and Home Grown goods (Arts, Crafts, Veggies etc). We are inviting ALL Kensington, Bez Valley, Troyville and Observatory Artists/Crafters to come and take a stall to get in some much needed money by using their skills and selling their goodies. We are wanting to get people back into Rhodes Park where they can come and have a nice relaxing Sunday, meet new people and just enjoy themselves. If there are any folk living in the above areas who do make their own goodies please contact me for a Application Form ASAP.

Well I'd best get back to work....may you all have a wonderful day and stay Blessed.

Regards
Doreen

Meet and Greet Tea Party

Morning all Peeps

I am off to a Meet and Greet Party this morning at 10:00 to
meet fellow Kensingtonians in Johannesburg. We are currently
trying to get Kensington back to its former glory by planting flowers
on our pavements, planting flowers and trees in the islands between
the main intersections of our roads, hosting Crafters and Artists Markets,
Going on weekly walks around our neighbourhood and just having fun
whilst doing it all.

Catch u all later...have a fantastic day.
